online for the first time in a week after spending days in bed ill
Realising just how useful twitter is when a major site *might* have gone down - twice in a month it has confirmed i’m not going mad!
Oops - BBC Fail! “No suitable nodes are available to serve your request.” #bbcnewsdown

Anyone know of an API to link UK Postcodes to local authorities?

@blackburnlabour V2 of CllrTweeps.com will be able to list by political party as well as council
@cllrtweeps @blackburnlabour V2 of CllrTweeps.com will be able to list by political party as well as council
@KtBergson at the moment, it really is a case of which topics you are interested in. for me, twitter is essential & really useful
Working my way through the councils listed on CllrTweeps.com importing data and looking at some shocking web design
@KtBergson PR companies can and do use it, however people get a bit annoyed if twitter is used to pump out news only
@KtBergson i think you will find Twitter will have a totally different audience to FB so I doubt it will take over!
Working on several wordpress templates at once - getting a little confused!
@akyan thanks - i recognise very few companies on the approved ISP list!
#dailygoals 1. Rewrite conference booking system for client site E
@lesteph is it actually possible to register a .gov.uk via a commercial registrar?!

@KtBergson welcome to Twitter :-)
Was concerned for a minute there, but happy now. Well done Wales!!!
Getting ready to watch the match in the Prince of Wales in Cardiff. Great atmosphere + pints of brains :-)
Time to re-disconnect myself from the Internet. Geek time is over for a while.
@steveaircav nope - 1234567890 seconds since midnight on 1st January 1970, which happened at 23:31:30 GMT (UTC)
Well, now that the epoch has come and gone, time for bed!
Happy Epoch everyone
For one second only - UNIX presents the Epoch time - 1234567890 - in just 180 second
@jamescousins only 7 minutes 25 second to go
Epoch Countdown - http://tinyurl.com/cqthmq
On twitter for the first time in days - watching the epoch calculator (
) - 24 minutes and 20 seconds to go!
@shepherdnick I always use FF3 and never seem to have that problem :-/
@CllrTweeps lots of data to import into the version 2 database then!
Right, time for bed - got work in the morning :-(
@alexcanterbury bare with us - we’ll get you added to CllrTweeps shortly!
@hrvaughan will DM you (somehow missed the M key several times while typing that tweet!)
@hrvaughan will D you
thanks everyone for your responses to my q - all agreed not to release code to him until he pays
Messing with jQuery again
@tobeon thanks, thats what i’ve told him
q for web developers - if a client doesn’t pay an invoice for domains, hosting and now wants code to use elsewhere, do you release?
somewhat annoyed with the BBC News Channel. Baftas until 6, then 2 minutes of headlines & back to Baftas. Where is the weather forecast?!
Well, glad Wales won, but would have been better if we’d kept up the pace of the first half.
Ok, dev work on hold, time for the match
Almost time for Wales v Scotland in the Six Nations :-P
@steveaircav i’m aiming for the end of the month, but depending on other commitments, it unfortunately might slip to middle of march.
@steveaircav its the Cllr for Govilon. She’s going to be contributing to the new Govilon website/blog when its launched shortly
@steveaircav I’m hoping to convince some more Monmouthshire Cllrs to set up blogs & use twitter - I’m working with one atm, hope more soon!
If you know of any local councillors on twitter, please point them in our direction: http://cllrtweeps.com or @cllrtweeps
Giving up on development of CllrTweeps version 2, and heading off to bed
Sitting down to watch the Six Nations, a pretty unproductive day so far
If you know of any county councillors on twitter, please let us know: http://cllrtweeps.com & twitter.com/cllrtweeps
@abergavenny this is just the first version, we’re hoping for a timeline and feeds for all the councillors
Pleased to announce the launch of version 1 of Cllr Tweeps http://cllrtweeps.com - thanks to @jamescousins & @liz_azyan
@jamescousins would a simple wordpress install do if its only for a few weeks?
How many things can go wrong in one day
@elenicashell trains from abergavenny to cardiff appear to be running fine. show was due to stop at 9am - um, so who knows whats going on.
Snowed in again i thought the weather was supposed to get better, not worse http://twitpic.com/1cogl

@cllrtweeps @tweetminster my thoughts exactly! drop me an email (dai *at* daibach.co.uk) and lets see what we can do
@glitchkitty & co - people will always stick their heads in the sand - thats how we’ve ended up in the mess we are now
Really excited at some of the web stuff being put out by government departments recently.
RT @lesteph: Proud of the DIUS & @Directgov guys and their work with The Student Room: http://leste.ph/mature_d…
@deniswalker ah, that explains it!
@deniswalker you still having problems with school closures?
starting to follow a conversation half way through and getting completely confused - probably should go back and read from the start
#dailygoals 1-finish client site B, 2-changes to client site C,3-changes to client site D
@tweetminster @cllrtweeps i’m very keen to get something up and running for local councillors - anything I can do to to speed things up? :-)
#dailygoals 1/4 complete this morning, 2/4 complete just after lunch, looking like I might just get 3/4 done by the end of the day
New blog post: School Closure Information http://tinyurl.com/ardg3v
@charlie_elise badly?
#dailygoals 1-bug fixes, 2-implement client site A, 3-implement client site B, 4-changes to client site C, 5-Inbox Zero
Had an annoying start to the morning - car snowed in again, train crawled to cardiff, buses running late. Now just trying to clear out inbox
New blog post: School Closure Information http://tinyurl.com/ardg3v
Stuck trying to get home. Waiting for the snow to melt in the station cafe
Finally back online following a catastrophic network hardware failure at home
getting ready to make a dash home - reports are not good up the valleys, but no sign of anything here
RT @Bash: RT @Niblowong: It’s officially pandemonium. http://www.transportchao… [teehee!]
@staceyjenkins i prefer the Museo Sans lower case
@theleggett fantastic! it looks great! :-)
@staceyjenkins i’m down in the bay - just had a flurry of snow past our small office window - seems to have stopped now unfortunately :-(
It’s started snowing in Cardiff #uksnow
RT @tom_watson:@Directgov Very glad to hear it. I’ve just purchased schoolclosures.org.uk Fancy rising to the challenge for tomorrow morning
@charlie_elise not too bad then. we have nothing but sun in cardiff
@tom_watson a central place for all school closures sounds like a great idea - no end of problems caused with incorrect info on radio/tv
@charlie_elise it is a bit pathetic - nothing in cardiff, not even any frost! whats your place like?
A cold Monday morning at Cwmbran station http://twitpic.com/1alrr
