Having a really good night inthe Bryer in St Andrews. Really good live music. :-)
@meaganfisher ouch. I did that a while ago. You ok???
Glad to have a few days off. Heading up to St. Andrews for a wedding - long drive ahead.
Finally home and into some dry clothes. @ArrivaTW your incident management sucks and your customer service is a disgrace!
Stopped next to several fire engines pumping water out of houses ONTO the railway tracks!! Um, not very helpful guys.
Woo, we’re on the move!
@GarethThomas thanks :-) everything should be ok. We just moved a few hundred meters! Might be home by Christmas!
Latest update - we’re still sat here at Newport. Apparently as well as flooding, a girl threw herself off a bridge. Good timing.
Yeah, stuck on train ATM. Waiting for alternative transport.
Now being told that we will not be proceeding until further notice. Flooding at Cwmbran is “Severe” #uktrain #fail #flood
Still sat at Newport with a dead battery on my iPhone and 10 minutes of laptop power left. Crap.
@timmillwood Fantastic. We’ve been told we’re now waiting for your train to get here before moving up.
@charlie_elise Going to be late home. Stuck on train - track is flooded between Cwmbran & Newport
@timmillwood I’m on the 17.20 stuck at Newport. We’ve been told we’re waiting for a signal to change. Useful! #uktrain #fail
@timmillwood if you are on the 17.50 train to Abergavenny, the service in front of you is still stuck at Newport!
Sat on the train at Newport - line ahead is flooded so we might be here a while :-( #uktrain
@doktorb where you getting these from?
RT @cflabs: Just a quick heads up - our recalls website has moved to its own dedicated domain today - http://recalledproducts….

@timsculthorpe next time i’ll just stick to Tweetie - I wanted to see how good SMS was. Very poor is my answer unfortunately.
That should have read "A set of brats ON Cardiff Central station"
Nice to see SMS’s sent to O2’s number are quick at appearing on Twitter. 12/13 mins that last one took to come through
That should have read "A set of brats ON Cardiff Central station"
A set of brats of Cardiff Central station with a stereo basting out music. Forgot it was the school holidays :-(
To the guy dancing on Platform 3 to your battery powered stereo, we are not impressed.
Um, not quite sure where the morning went, last time I looked it was 10am. Hmm, late lunch needed I think!

@idesignstudios Hope it was useful - I know it wasn’t the full lines but hopefully will point you in the right direction!
@jamescousins I’m not sure how I coped before twitter stopped UK messages - I had everyone’s messages sent to my phone!
@idesignstudios As long as you have both the _gat._getTracker(“xxx”); and .trackPageview() lines for each analytics code you should be fine.
@jamescousins I think it’ll probably be a very small number of friends that get onto this list! Don’t think I could cope with too many.
@jamescousins I think I’ll only turn it on for a few people otherwise I can see me getting overloaded with tweets
@jamescousins seems to be working so far - my phone hasn’t been this busy for a while!
@idesignstudios I’ve done it a few times without any problems
Woo, O2 twitter SMS messages are back :D
@jamescousins your tweet just arrived on my phone, so its definitely working again :-)
@jamescousins have you just started to get tweets from @O2 as well?
Um, either @gimboland just SMSed a tweet to me, or o2 has just started to send random tweets to my phone?

@jamescousins Its not just you - I always wait till i’ve got loads to shred then spend an afternoon doing it :-/
Today I’ll mostly be dealing with i18n, gettext, pot files and a whole range of languagey goodness
@jamescousins @Liz_Azyan I doubt many people noticed. I only noticed when you started to make a fuss about it all ;-)
@jamescousins @liz_azyan shocking mistake! I don’t expect stuff like that from elected officials! :-)

Back in office after visiting the Royal Welsh yesterday. Must stop avoiding replying to emails and actually get stuck into it.
Wandering around the royal welsh show in the rain.
Getting ready to head upto the Royal Welsh - what a day we’ve picked - upto an inch of rain forecast for today. urgh.
Continuing the redevelopment of one of my biggest sites - back end systems this time. Looking forward to launch.
@bethanjenkins thanks for meeting earlier! - hope it was useful :-)
Good old Arriva.. Disruption at Cardiff Ctl & no useful info from announcements or staff. Noone #uktrain #fail

Made it into work despite Arriva’s best efforts. Now to catch up on various blogs & look into GitHub. anyone have experience with them?
@doktorb nasty. the last 2 days we’ve been put on an arriva 150 instead of a 175. not fun.
Train late again and substituted with a unit that must have about half the number of seats. fantastic work there Arriva! #uktrain

@bethanjenkins we reckon the plane is about 1/2 the cost of the train and several hours quicker. car is even cheaper but same time.
@bethanjenkins I’m heading upto Scotland later this month - it was cheaper to drive than catch the train. train = very expensive!
Is it me or was that the end of #Torchwood?!
At home getting on with some work before final episode of #Torchwood. Lots of people expecting a blue box. I’m not so sure.
@charlie_elise I could, but that would just be asking for someone to add something else to my task list :-P - also not as fun!
successfully PAT tested & now back up and running - now to enjoy watching the chaos ensue while everyone else is tested.
@yegnold yup - computers, monitors, phone chargers, printers etc. pretty much everything with a cable plugged into a power socket.
Got to log off and shut down for a bit - all my computers & monitors need to be tested.
@akyan I’m not quite sure why anyone would want to do that!
Busy day today - lots of things to do, all going to be interrupted by the PAT testing guy.
@doktorb It is certainly an interesting route - Chester to Blackpool Pleasure Beach via Cardiff and Maesteg!
The train to work this morning is apparently going to “Blackpool Pleasure Beach” - interesting :-P
Impressed by Torchwood and Ianto being two of the trending topics on Twitter

@jamescousins exactly. at Uni the good lecturers provided slides & notes, the not-so-good ones just provided slides which acted as notes.
@jamescousins I was always told that slides should not be the presentation - they should be in addition to it.
@jamescousins oh dear, sounds like someone needs to learn how to give presentations properly
Unfortunately missing #rebootbritain today. Lots to do though - including working on changes to the recalls website
@jonhurlock cool - I knew they were going to take a photo of it, but didn’t realise they’d do that with it! :-)
