Successful day working on @cflabs StayPrivate site, now working on the new @cllrtweeps website.
Gave up working in the office - now at home with a cup of tea and cracking on with PHP coding
@Pheonix_b was the one way ticket intentional?
@timmillwood ubuntu - I used kubuntu for 2 months and had no end of problems with it. Used ubuntu for 5 months, no problems at all.
I’m a numpty - stupid moped rider made my commute into work really difficult, so I had to rush and left my phone somewhere I shouldn’t :-(
@tobeon i’ve been waiting for that for 2 days - and it went and launched while I was in a bloody meeting!!!
RT @the_anke: There you go. Private Eye has got Halloween sorted. http://twitpic.com/n97z5
My Thoughts:: Opening up community information http://bit.ly/n9DS7
@lesteph I thought so - we were deciding to drop IE5.5 hacks from a WP plugin - looks like IE5.5 makes up 0.08% of our visits since Oct 08
@lesteph do you still support IE5.5 on the BIS websites?
@gareththomas lol - I finally made it to the office :-) despite the best efforts of @arrivatw
My office manager just handed me a copy of Murphy’s Ten Laws of Time Management - so far I’ve hit every one of them today.
@Joel_Hughes yeah - we are GMT now
@Joel_Hughes if its any help, EDT is GMT-4 (so it is currently 9:31am)
Enough is Enough. @arrivatw you can now expect an invoice for every minute I have to wait because of a delayed train.
Oh for fuck sake. The train service here has turned into a joke. @ArrivaTW get you act together. A 40 minute delay is not acceptable.
Spending the evening swapping various Wordpress websites back to GMT now the clocks have changed - oh joy.
@timmillwood ah. there is nothing like assembling flat-pack furniture after a long day at work :-)
@tom_watson Ask him to change the Royal Mail’s license to allow them to release postcodes for free for non-profit work
RT @tom_watson: RT @orgNewsUpdates MI5 comes out against cutting off internet pirates http://twurl.nl/dzcfbq
Wow, GeoCities is finally being closed down today - all that is needed now is to rid the web of MySpace! http://bit.ly/3eD4Kl
RT @Directgov: #BST #clocks It’s the end of British Summer Time. Clocks go back on Sunday 25 October 2009 http://bit.ly/clocks_go_…
ok - finally done. spent ages debugging a bash script which turned out to be a problem caused by a carriage return!
@CardiffWebScene go for it :-) that week sounds good to me.
@Syniq That is what I’m going for - but unfortunately I need to compile the original list somehow :-(
.@Syniq @gareththomas i’m going from x.com/en/content/cms/About_Us/Our_mission/Our_mission.aspx to x.com/about-us/our-mission/
@GarethThomas i’m half tempted to write a scraper to produce a list of all the pages on the old site
having fun figuring out the best way of mapping 1200+ URLS from an old website to 1200+ different URLS on a new website
Probably the best piece of TV for quite a while. There is nothing like ripping someone apart. #bbcqt :-)
RT @timsculthorpe: You don’t teach homosexuality Nick. Sorry. Wrong again. We need buzzers I think. #bbcqt
RT @Syniq: RT @owenblacker: Bonnie Greer brought Nick Griffin a reading list? I *really* fucking love her! #bbcqt
RT @akyan: Nick Griffin keeps denying what others claim he stands for, someone needs to ask him straight so he can trip over himself. #bbcqt
@seanhandley because BBC Wales does its own thing :-(
RT @tweetminster: “I can’t tell you why I said those things” most tweeted quote from #bbcqt thus far.
Let him answer the question - I want to see him make a hash of it. #bbcqt
RT @bbcquestiontime: “[Nick Griffin] is the Dr Strangelove of British politics” - Jack Straw #bbcqt < fantastic comparison
@timsculthorpe he really is having problems isn’t he? #bbcqt
RT @timsculthorpe: Griffin is shaking. Clearly didn’t expect to be battered quite so much so early #bbcqt
RT @tweetminster: 5.55 tweets a second around #bbcqt now.
David Dimbleby: “Why are you smiling? It (denying the Holocaust) is not particularly funny.” #bbcqt
Twitterfall struggling to cope - just jumped from 10 to 300 in the queue
And so it begins… #bbcqt
Hmm, twitterfall has come to a halt. is this the quiet before the storm? #bbcqt
@tobeon that is fair enough :-)
@Joel_Hughes that is my intention - BBC 1 London is where I’m headed :-) #bbcqt
looking forward to #bbcqt. unfortunately because BBC Wales insists on showing it after 11, I’ll be switching to BBC London instead.
@Pheonix_b it’s fantastic isn’t it! :-)
RT @pezholio: To the pricks kicking off at TV centre. Go home. You’re sinking to the BNP’s level and giving them ammunition. < well said!

@timmillwood i imagine by the time 10.30 comes around there will be huge queues to get into the shopping centre - stages are being built atm
Today I will mostly be watching the Government 2010 conference from London #g2010
My god. There is a huge queue outside the new peacocks in Cardiff. You not got anything better to do? http://twitpic.com/mg60s
Working from home today in an attempt to get away from the usual office distractions - unfortunately they are just ringing me instead.. doh!

“for those of you travelling to Abergavenny, we are organising road transport. I’ll pass through soon to find out numbers”. Oh. Not good :-(
“train manager, please contact the driver” not a good sign. Been sat here for 10 minutes.
